The Rev. Dr. David N. Mielke came to Holy Communion in July, 2012, following calls in six other parishes and 25 years of teaching at Appalachian State University. He completed seminary at Gettysburg Lutheran Seminary, the Antiochian House of Studies, and his doctorate at the University of Tennessee. He has signed the Rule of the Society of the Holy Trinity and participates in the High Country Coalition of Lutheran Churches. Pastor David and his wife Sue have been married 44 years and have two adult children; Mat and his wife Shawnna and Laura and her husband Scott Hanrath, the parents of grandchildren henry and Ellen. Our pastor’s emphasis is on quality worship and personal pastoral care in the spreading of the Gospel and care for his parishioners.
